Book of Jonah Chapter Two.

Chapter two deals with the internal workings of a prophet who is engulfed by despair.  The challenge for Jonah is spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional.  This is a very dark and stormy moment in Jonah's life.  It's true:  it will cost us much to obey God... it will cost the most if we don't.

Jonah realized that repentance has for its strength the convicting Word of God by the person of the Holy Spirit who enables the believer to realize their sin and its consequence of internal, physical, and spiritual frustration.  When God provokes repentance for the Christians... it is always for their good and His glory and the salvation of sinners.

Sincerely, Dr. Arthur Belanger
