  • Pm-121 - eq SH2: Pastoral Research and Writing
    The student is required to research the biographies of great men, pastors or missionaries who have contributed to the work of the gospel ministry, such as D.L. Moody or Billy Sunday. The professor will assign the research books. This is a required course.
  • Pm-221 - eq SH2: Pastoral Ministry
    This course is an introduction to the pastoral ministry, which surveys the various aspects of the pastor’s work. It covers areas of practical knowledge needed by every pastor.
  • Bc-221 - eq SH2:   Basic Principles of Counseling
    This course presents the basic principles of counseling through a balanced view of people, problems, and solutions.
  • Bc-223 - eq SH2: How To Counsel.  The student studies the four-step Biblical process of counseling.
  • Bc-224 - eq SH2: Marriage Building
    This course presents a Biblical view of marriage. Attention will be given to the essential building blocks needed to construct a marriage.
  • Bc-321 - eq SH2: Concepts For Counseling
    This course allows the student to explore the basic concepts for counseling.
  • Bc-322 - eq SH2: Theology of Biblical Counseling
    In this course the student connects Biblical doctrine with practical living. The student will gain insight into the rich, theological framework that supports and directs a Biblical approach to counseling.
  • Bc-323 - eq SH2: Reality Therapy
    This course is for the Christian counselor who is ready to sift, evaluate, test , and try out ideas and techniques that will enhance the enterprise of Biblical counseling and contribute to a more effective ministry of counseling in the church.
  • Bc-421 - eq SH2: Counseling Techniques
    This course examines various techniques and innovative approaches to Biblical counseling including Cognitive Therapy Techniques.
  • Bc-422 - eq SH2: Counseling Ethics
    This course views the Biblical ethics and the need for ethical behavior by the Christian Counselor.
  • Bc-423 - eq SH2: Counseling Depression & Marriage.  This is a two textbook study dealing extensively with depression and marriage.
  • Bc-424 - eq SH2: Counseling Divorce & Marriage
    An indepth study dealing with divorce and marriage.
  • Christian Counseling  Concentration

  • Bc-425 - eq SH2: Counseling Alcohol/Substance Abuse.  This is a two textbook study dealing with alcohol and substance abuse.
  • Bc-426 - eq SH2: Counseling in Crisis
    This course requires the use of two textbooks. In the first, the student will gain a knowledge of counseling the chronically, psychiatrically, and terminally ill, as well as the ministry in times of sickness. In the second book, the student will loot at other types of crises including health-related, life cycles, financial, and spiritual crises. Also covered are techniques for crisis intervention.
  • Bc-427 - eq SH2: Counseling Sexual Problems
    This course presents a study of sexual disorders and problems that couples face in their intimate relationships.
  • Bc-428 - eq SH2: Guilt & Self Control
    This course presents a study of the problems of guilt and self-control.
  • Bc-429 - eq SH2: Violence, Abuse, & Self-esteem
    This course deals with abusive relationships.
  • Bc-431 - eq SH3: Marriage & The Family
    This course is a study of marriage and the family from a Biblical point of view.
  • Bc-527 - eq SH2: Premarital Counseling
    The Christian Counselor is presented with those things he should know about counseling with couples that are engaged.
  • Bc-528 - eq SH2: Competent Counsel
    This course looks at the Holy Spirit in counseling.
  • Bc-531 - eq SH3: Nouthetic Counseling
    The student in this course studies the persons involved in counseling, as well as the presuppositions and principles. The student will also look into the practice and process in counseling.
  • Bc-622 - eq SH2: Effective Biblical Counseling
    This course focuses on the principles needed in Biblical counseling.
  • Bc-631 - eq SH3: Psychology of Counseling
    This course is a study of professional techniques for the pastors, teachers, youth leaders and all who are engaged in the comparable art of counseling.
  • Bc-632 - eq SH3: Biblical Counseling
    This course deals with effective Biblical counseling.
